Meeting Notice
| CVDGO "Last Chance" Meeting | ||||||||
|
Why?
Tower Ridge Disc Golf Course exists only as long as the CVDGO exists.
Out of 80 members, only 6 showed up for the annual meeting.
The Board of Directors consists of 7 people who are elected at the annual meeting. Without a board there is no club, and without a club there is no course.
YOU HAVE ONE MORE CHANCE TO SAVE THE CVDGO AND TOWER RIDGE DISC GOLF COURSE. WE HAVE SCHEDULED A SPECIAL MEETING TO TRY AGAIN TO ELECT A BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
THURSDAY DECEMBER 4, 7:00 PM
596 CAMERON ST.
EAU CLAIRE
THE COMMUNITY ROOM OF FIRST SUPPLY / GERHARDTS
What happens if we fail to elect a new board? The club's assets revert to the State of Wisconsin. These assets include the baskets for Tower Ridge and the funds in our bank account. Without baskets, or without a group to maintain the course, it's goodbye to Tower Ridge disc golf.
In order to be able to sign a new contract with Eau Claire County, we did elect a new President, Tom Field. Everything else on the annual meeting agenda was postponed until the special meeting which is scheduled for Dec. 4.
If you do not come to the meeting, don't complain when Mt. Simon is your only place to play. On the other hand, we just might be able to get a new 18 hole course in a new Eau Claire City Park if we have enough active members.
For more information call Tom Field at 839-8774 or Don Ticknor at 597-2001.
